On-Campus Workshop : Uka Tarsadia University, Surat
The workshop was conducted for the zonal NASA events organised in Surat. Through the three-day hands-on workshop students were given a chance to learn how to work with bamboo as a construction material. They learned structural properties of bamboo and various types of joineries by working with the tools themselves. One module of a larger structural system was executed through the workshop. It is a cantilevered module which allows for openness on one side and can be arranged in multiple configurations to create various kinds of spaces according to the context of the place and programme.
