Flying Pavillion: Anant University, Ahmedabad.

This workshop, held at Anant National University, is designed for students from the foundation course to gain a basic understanding of bamboo as a sustainable construction material. The primary objective of the workshop is to teach the fundamentals of working with bamboo, culminating in the creation of a pavilion designed and build to accommodate 15 to 20 people.

Throughout the workshop, students will receive comprehensive instruction on the various aspects of bamboo construction, including techniques and details that can be applied to larger bamboo building projects. Additionally, they will explore different architectural forms and designs that can be achieved using bamboo.

The workshop is hands-on, emphasizing the importance of practical experience. Students will have the opportunity to develop essential skills in working with tools and collaborating with craftsmen. This approach not only enhances their understanding of bamboo as a versatile material but also fosters a deeper appreciation for craftsmanship and the intricacies involved in building with natural resources.
