Along the valley of the river Ramganga, lie spots sought after by anglers and tourists. The scenic wild terrain along the river makes it apt to lay down shelters for such avid travellers. Marchula, Bhikyasan & Tarar are three spots on the route along Ramganga. The program consists of permanent and temporary tent shelters with common cafeteria, toilet blocks and recreational landscaping to support camping, angling, rafting based activities The aim is to develop tourism and generate livelihood amongst the local community. It would eventually help the community to generate awareness regarding nature among travellers by means of participatory leisure prgrammes.
The decrease the footprint on nature, the erected structures make use of temporal materials such as canvas, steel frames and timber finishes to create tents and shacks. It also offers the provision of a camping ground where travellers can pitch their own tents and enjoy the riverview.
