Nestled within an existing resort campus, the Midas Touch Resort project adds eight meticulously designed cottages, overlooking an existing serene swimming pool, and expansive landscaped areas, enhancing the resort's charm and introducing a sense of seclusion and exclusivity. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying modern comforts.
The design was shaped by the dual challenges of adhering to a cost-sensitive budget and utilizing conventional construction materials. Despite these constraints, the project achieves a harmonious blend of affordability and aesthetic appeal, demonstrating that elegance can be achieved without high costs. The landscape plays a pivotal role in unifying the cottages with the broader site, creating a cohesive environment that feels organic and naturally integrated. The lush surroundings not only enhance the visual appeal but also create a tranquil atmosphere, enveloping the cottages in greenery. The architectural design emphasizes both privacy and community. The cottages are arranged in pairs, separated by a central courtyard, enhancing intimacy while providing opportunities for social interaction in shared outdoor spaces.
Characterized by clean white walls and a traditional tiled roof, the cottages have been thoughtfully designed to allow the surrounding vegetation to blend seamlessly with the built environment. Over time, the architecture is intended to recede into the landscape, allowing the greenery to take center stage and creating a symbiotic relationship between the structures and their natural surroundings.
Inside, the playful use of multicolored yellow Kota stone flooring adds vibrant yet understated elegance to the space, while carefully crafted teak wood furniture brings a sense of timelessness and comfort. The natural hues and textures create a cozy, inviting atmosphere, enhancing the guest experience by offering a retreat that feels both luxurious and homely. A significant feature of the cottages is their connection to the outdoors. One side of each cottage can be fully opened, blurring the lines between interior and exterior spaces. This design choice maximizes natural light and ventilation, allowing guests to fully engage with the landscape, whether it's enjoying a morning coffee with the sounds of nature or taking in a sunset over the horizon.
The Midas Touch Resort project stands as a testament to thoughtful design that balances cost-effectiveness with aesthetic quality. By integrating conventional materials with innovative architectural and landscape design, the resort creates a cohesive, inviting environment, offering guests a unique and memorable experience deeply rooted in the beauty of its natural surroundings.
